Who we support

Built for the way schools and trusts actually run

Your health and safety responsibilities sit across site managers, catering teams, labs and workshops — not just a policy file. We work with the people doing the work.

Maintained schools and single-academy trusts

Support for headteachers, business managers and site managers who need a competent person on call without employing one full time.

Multi-academy trusts

One consistent health and safety framework across your schools — the same inspection standards, documentation and reporting — with room for each site's own buildings and curriculum.

Independent schools

Practical cover for boarding houses, sports facilities, labs, workshops and estates projects, reported in a way governors and proprietors can act on.

Trusts we work with

Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust
Centurion Multi-Academy Trust
Melrose Learning Trust

Education services

Everything a competent person would cover

Take the whole service, or start with the piece you need most — a review before the new term, help after an incident, or training for your site teams.

Competent person advice

Named, ongoing access to an experienced health and safety practitioner for day-to-day questions, escalation when something goes wrong, and advice before you commit to a decision.

Audits and inspections

Planned inspections of premises and curriculum areas — science labs, design and technology workshops, kitchens, sports facilities and outdoor sites — plus management system audits, each reported with prioritised actions.

Incident investigation

Structured investigation of accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences: root cause analysis, support with RIDDOR reporting to the HSE where a report is required, and follow-up actions.

Policy, risk assessment and documentation

Written, reviewed and simplified policies, risk assessments and safe systems for curriculum areas, premises, off-site activities and contractor work — documents your teams will actually use.

Bespoke training for school staff

Sessions built around your sites and your risks: fire warden duties, COSHH for site and catering teams, risk assessment for senior leads, and health and safety induction for new site and facilities staff.

Reporting for governors and trustees

Clear management information that shows trustees, governors and inspection teams what is in place, what has been done, and where a decision or investment is needed.

How support is arranged

Choose the level of cover you need

Retained support

Ongoing monthly cover as your competent person: advice on call, scheduled inspections, policy reviews and regular reporting to school or trust leadership.

One-off review

A single inspection and gap analysis against your duties, with a written report and a prioritised action plan you can work through yourselves.

Agreed days of support

A set number of days to use as the year demands — incident investigation, pre-opening audits of new buildings, contractor assurance or staff training.

Whichever you choose, you receive a written proposal covering scope, deliverables, timings and cost before any work starts.

How education support works

From first conversation to ongoing cover

  1. 1

    Conversation about your sites

We discuss your buildings, curriculum, recent incidents, staffing and what you need cover for.

  2. 2

    Written proposal

Scope, deliverables, inspection frequency, reporting format, timings and cost agreed before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Inspections, advice and training

We carry out the agreed inspections and audits, answer questions as they arise, and deliver training around the school day.

  4. 4

    Reporting and review

Prioritised findings and actions, management reporting for governors or trustees, and a review as your needs change.
