The tutors behind New Day Training
Warm, expert NEBOSH training built around working adults — by tutors who genuinely love helping learners pass.

Hi, I’m Aimee 👋
I’ve worked in health, safety and environmental training and consultancy for over 13 years, and in HSE across a range of industries for around 25 years.
I’m also a bit of a NEBOSH nerd. NEBOSH has been my main role — and a genuine passion of mine — for the last 13 years, working as a tutor with a number of large learning partners.
Over the years, I’ve delivered countless NEBOSH courses, worked as a NEBOSH examiner, carried out assessment failure analysis and conducted closing interviews. That experience has given me a really good insight into not just the NEBOSH syllabus, but what helps learners succeed in their assessments and where things can go wrong.
What I enjoy most is helping learners turn all of that knowledge into successful assessment answers. My goal is to give you the support, guidance and confidence you need to pass your NEBOSH assessments, progress in your career and, ultimately, help make the HSE industry better.
I know NEBOSH can feel overwhelming at times, so I want my learners to know that they can ask questions, get honest feedback and have someone genuinely invested in helping them get there.
Outside of NEBOSH…
I have a husband, three kids, two cats and a dog, so life is rarely quiet! I’m a bit of a theme park junkie 🎢, probably drink far too much coffee , and love a bootcamp workout.
So yes… NEBOSH nerd, coffee addict and rollercoaster enthusiast pretty much sums me up!

Hi, I’m Tim 👋
I’m an experienced fire risk consultant and NEBOSH Fire Safety tutor, with a real passion for helping people understand fire safety and put it into practice in the real world.
I’ve been delivering NEBOSH training for over six years, working with a variety of learning partners and teaching learners from all sorts of industries, backgrounds and levels of experience.
Alongside training, I work as a fire risk consultant, carrying out fire risk assessments and helping organisations identify, manage and reduce their fire risks. I think that practical experience is really important when teaching NEBOSH, as I can bring the subject to life with real examples and help learners understand how what we cover on the course actually applies in the workplace.
For me, though, delivering a NEBOSH course isn’t just about getting through the syllabus. I want our learners to gain their qualification, but I also want them to enjoy the course, build their confidence and take knowledge away that will help them throughout their careers.
Learner care is really important to me. Everyone learns differently and comes to NEBOSH with different levels of knowledge and experience, so I make sure learners feel comfortable asking questions and know that support is there when they need it. My aim is always to help each learner achieve the best result they possibly can.
Outside of NEBOSH and fire safety…
I love travelling and exploring new places, discovering different cultures, landscapes and experiences along the way.
I’m also passionate about animal welfare and have spent time volunteering at elephant sanctuaries in Sri Lanka 🐘, helping to care for and support animals in need.
Whether I’m teaching fire safety, exploring somewhere new or helping animals, I like doing things where I feel I can make a positive difference.

Hi, I’m Adam 👋
I’m one of the Directors here at New Day Training, but I’m also very much hands-on, working in health and safety consultancy and delivering training. It probably helps that I’m a self-confessed safety geek!
I’ve spent more than 12 years delivering NEBOSH training, helping learners understand health and safety without drowning them in jargon. My approach is practical, supportive and human — because learning about safety should be engaging, relevant and, believe it or not, enjoyable.
My first degree was in Law and my second in Health and Safety, which gives me an interesting perspective on the legal and practical sides of the profession. It also makes me either highly qualified or the person you definitely don’t want to sit next to at a dinner party!
What matters most to me as a tutor is making sure learners don’t just understand the subject, but develop the confidence to apply what they’ve learned. Everyone comes to NEBOSH with different experiences and levels of knowledge, so I want learners to feel comfortable asking questions, getting involved and knowing that we’re there to support them when they need us.
At New Day Training, my aim is simple: to give our learners the knowledge, confidence and support they need to succeed in their NEBOSH assessments — and throughout their careers.
Outside of health and safety…
I’m a proud family man and love travelling and exploring new places with my wife and two children.
I’m also a huge anime fan, so I’m always happy to discuss anything from risk assessments and accident investigations to Dragon Ball and One Piece.
Safety geek, anime fan and apparently quite useful at explaining NEBOSH — that pretty much sums me up!
